Welcome to the Faculty of Criminal Justice
Conducting programmes on Criminal Justice at tertiary education level is essential to ensure the system involved therein is just and efficient. Discourses on Criminal Justice at University level would result in bringing about much required proposals for reforms to the practices currently in place.
The Faculty of Criminal Justice was established in 2021. General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) enlisted the first batch of 65 police officers in 2022 and admitted them to the Faculty of Criminal Justice.
The Faculty of Criminal Justice was established in 2021 as the eleventh Faculty of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University.
The Faculty of Criminal Justice comprises of two academic departments:
- Department of Criminology
- Department of Police Science
The Faculty offers both undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes.
